Sukanta is an accomplished materials chemist and entrepreneur with extensive experience in academia and product development. Trained at important academic institutions in India and Europe, including the Max Planck Institute in Heidelberg, Germany, Sukanta’s approach to developing products is application-driven and keenly focused on highly innovative, practical, and scalable material chemistries.

Thiago has a background in economics and an interest in impact investment. He founded and sold a B-corporation managing a sustainable forestry project certified by the Forestry Stewardship Council. As a venture capitalist, Thiago built and managed a strong portfolio in life science startups before cofounding 1s1 Energy.

Don is a world-renowned organometallic chemistry and catalysis expert. He holds a prestigious chaired position at the University of California, Berkeley, and is a Faculty Senior Scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. In addition to his academic roles, Don has been sought after as an advisor to government institutions and various material-focused organizations, contributing his valuable insights to advance research and innovation.

Anthony has earned degrees in applied physics from Brown University and engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Before joining 1s1 Energy, he led significant technology development projects at both Kernel and Draper Laboratories.

Nicolas holds degrees in comparative law and business administration. Before joining 1s1 Energy, he developed expertise in business and venture capital operations.
